The French lottery operator, Française des Jeux (FDJ), has declared the introduction of a fresh online poker offering, signifying the company’s initial venture into this domain.
FDJ’s inaugural poker product is Jackpot Sit & Go, which will be accessible through its ParionsSport en ligne mobile application, with additional games to follow. The company stated that this move aligns with its broader strategy to bolster its position within the French online gaming market.
“We are thrilled to present our players with a new selection of games,” remarked Richard Courtois, FDJ’s Head of Sports Betting and Poker. “They will have the opportunity to engage in a casual poker series via the ParionsSport en ligne app, crafted for players of all skill levels.
“This action enables FDJ to enhance our presence in the online gaming market, in accordance with our strategy centered on growth and continuous innovation, underpinned by a business model that blends performance and responsibility to ensure gaming remains enjoyable.”
The games will operate through gaming provider Playtech’s ipoker product. The company indicated its intention to expand its poker product assortment to encompass all online poker formats sanctioned by the French regulatory body, the National Gaming Authority.
Financial Expansion
FDJ revealed robust revenue expansion in its third-quarter financial report, resulting in an upward adjustment of the group’s full-year revenue projections.
“Our digital operations continue to draw in an increasing number of participants, nearing 5 million,” stated Stéphane Pallez, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of FDJ. “The anticipated strong performance for the entire year mirrors the pertinence of our strategy, which hinges on these two distribution channels, and validates our long-term responsible growth model.”
