Spelinspektionen reported revenue from Casino Cosomopol’s land-based operations for the first time since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19), as the Swedish gambling company subsidiary reopened. Casino revenue reached 132 million Swedish kronor in the quarter.
Charity bingo revenue fell slightly by 2 percent to 46 million Swedish kronor, while the land-based commercial gaming sector, including restaurant casinos, saw revenue drop 47 percent to 47 million Swedish kronor.
Throughout this timeframe, ninety-five operators were actively engaged in the gambling sector. Concurrently, approximately sixty-five thousand five hundred individuals had voluntarily opted out of gambling through the Spelpaus.se program by the conclusion of the quarter.
