Sky Racing World, a division of Tabcorp in the United States, has introduced a fresh live streaming service that will make horse racing organized by the National Association of Racing (NAR) in Japan accessible to American customers.
The service will commence on April 5th and will showcase races from Ooi Racecourse (also known as Tokyo City Keiba).
Under an exclusive arrangement, Sky Racing World will distribute live streams weekly, from Sunday to Thursday. This will initially encompass coverage from Tokyo City Keiba, as well as Funabashi and Kawasaki racecourses, including significant races like the Tokyo Sprint and the Japan Dirt Derby.
Coverage will be obtainable through all live and pre-betting platforms that collaborate with Sky Racing World, as well as freely on the supplier’s website.
The agreement further broadens Sky Racing World’s live streaming library, which already includes horse racing coverage from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Korea, and Singapore.
Sky Racing World, the president and CEO, David Haslett, stated that they have been collaborating with NAR in Japan to broadcast their Japanese horse racing events to North America for a considerable period.
He expressed enthusiasm about introducing this high-quality entertainment offering to the market, particularly during a time when viewers have encountered a decrease in their customary sporting entertainment options. He mentioned that they have recently faced temporary suspensions of horse racing broadcasts from New Zealand, South Africa, and Korea due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Haslett emphasized that the introduction of Japanese simulcasts represents a significant milestone in their expansion as a prominent provider of international horse racing, and they are immensely proud to be distributing this exceptional product on behalf of NAR.
