The Kindred Group has strengthened its relationship with the Scottish Premier League football club Rangers through a new investment, backing their mental well-being initiative.
The organization has renewed its financial support for “Team Talk,” ensuring the Rangers Charity Foundation can continue to develop the project. Kindred has also given its front-of-shirt sponsorship rights to the project for Thursday night’s Europa League semifinal match against RB Leipzig. Rangers’ jerseys typically feature Kindred’s brand 32Red, but last night they displayed the “Team Talk” emblem. Kindred has promised that if the Glasgow club advances after last night’s 0-1 loss to the Germans, they will wear the same jerseys for the championship game.
Kindred has characterized the investment and shirt sponsorship donation as a “completely new community-focused sponsorship approach.”
“The financial commitment we are revealing today signifies that the Rangers Charity Foundation can continue the significant progress achieved in the project’s initial year,” stated Neil Banbury, Kindred’s UK managing director.
Rangers Football Club is broadening its mental health assistance initiative, Team Talk, due to financial backing from Kindred. The program utilizes the club’s widespread appeal to motivate men in Glasgow to discuss their mental well-being.
Rangers FC states that Team Talk has already aided numerous men in Glasgow in acquiring guidance, support, and encouragement to converse about their mental health. Kindred, which also sponsors Middlesbrough FC and Derby County FC, has contributed to Team Talk programs at each club.
Connal Cochrane, Director of the Rangers Foundation, remarked that Kindred’s financial contribution has been highly beneficial for Team Talk. He mentioned that it marks the first instance of a significant club sponsor making such a substantial investment in the local community.
Cochrane asserted that communication can be life-saving, and the program can now continue for another year. He stated that the initiative has already positively impacted individuals’ mental health and well-being, enabling them to forge connections with one another.
