Inspired Appoints Ian Freeman as Chief Commercial Officer

Inspired Entertainment has declared the appointment of Ian Freeman as their new head of commercial operations.

Freeman will assume the position of Chief Commercial Officer, commencing on November 16th. He will be accountable for the development and distribution of Inspired’s virtual sports offerings.

He succeeds Steve Rogers, who has resigned from the Chief Commercial Officer position after over two and a half decades to pursue other ventures.

Freeman is a seasoned iGaming executive who joins Inspired from sports and iGaming platform provider FSBTech, where he served as Chief Revenue Officer for nearly three years.

Prior to that, Freeman was Global Vice President of Business Development and Commercial at IGT’s PlayDigital division. This encompassed a significant role in the launch of the PlaySports brand in North America.

The executive also spent five years as Chief Commercial Officer at Kambi Group, working both before and after the company’s separation from Unibet (now Kindred).

Freeman also held the position of Group Commercial Officer at EveryMatrix and spent five years as Chief Commercial Officer at Kambi Group. During his tenure with the latter, Freeman served as a member of the executive management team and successfully completed an initial public offering.

He has also held positions at MoxieSoftware, RSM Europe, and Xchange Communications.

Inspired is delighted to welcome Freeman to the team, bringing his considerable expertise to the group.

“Ian’s extensive experience in the sports betting industry is a significant advantage to our team,” stated Brooks Pierce, Chief Executive Officer and President of Inspired.

“With a proven track record in business, operations, and technology, Ian brings the ideal blend of skills to help our virtual sports business achieve new milestones.

“Virtual sports are a vital component of Inspired’s growth strategy, and we are thrilled to have Ian join us in this critical leadership position.”

Pierce also expressed appreciation for the departing Rogers. “I want to thank Steve for his contributions to the company over the years. He has been a key factor in our success. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.”
