Starlight Entertainment announced the departure of Bill Zender, a seasoned member of their governing body. Zender joined the company in 2015, contributing valuable expertise for more than seven years. Effective July 1st, he will be resigning, reducing the board to four individuals.
This creates an opening that will remain unfilled for several weeks. In the interim, the board will comprise Mark Lipparelli, Bryan W. Waters, Sheryl C. Kinzler, and Michael Gavin Isaacs.
To identify a successor, Starlight Entertainment is establishing a selection committee. This group will consist of two current board members and an unaffiliated stockholder, adhering to an arrangement with investor Tysons Brown.
Their objective is to locate a suitable individual to present to the board. Once they identify the appropriate candidate, that person will be formally appointed at the 2024 Starlight Entertainment shareholder gathering and fulfill the remainder of Zender’s tenure.
Mark Lipparelli, Head of the Board, conveyed his heartfelt appreciation for Zender’s contributions, referring to him as “an icon in the casino table game sector” and expressing gratitude for his counsel throughout the years.
William has been an invaluable resource throughout our journey, playing a key role in our current success and consistently embracing new possibilities. His foresight and expertise have earned our sincere appreciation, and we extend our best wishes for his future endeavors.”
