Ten prominent Times Square property holders have united with the “Coalition for an Enhanced Times Square,” lending their influence to the collaborative effort between SL Green, Caesars Entertainment, and Roc Nation to establish Caesars Palace at 1515 Broadway.
Aby Rosen, co-founder and principal of RFR, declared, “As the country’s leading tourist destination, and a nexus for amusement, lodging, retail, and transit, Times Square is the optimal site for the City’s gaming sector.” He continued, “We stand with the Coalition for an Enhanced Times Square in unwavering support of their endeavors to introduce a gaming establishment to the vicinity, as we are confident the ensuing public and private advantages will forge a more promising future for our great City.”
The ten firms publicly expressing their backing constitute a roster of significant Times Square property proprietors, encompassing Jamestown (proprietor of One Times Square), Sherwood Equities (proprietor of Two Times Square), alongside the owners of Five Times Square, the Paramount Building, Soho Properties, the Moinian Group, Wharton Properties, RFR, the Ian Schrager Company, and Stillman Development.
Charlie Rosenberg of the Paramount Building underscored the collective objective, stating, “We all aspire to witness the Times Square district flourish and retain its deserved status as the epicenter of the entertainment realm.”
