Illinois Lottery Unveils Innovative Scan-n-Play Feature for Instant Win Games

The organization responsible for the Illinois Lottery, Camelot Illinois, has launched a novel “Scan-n-Play” function for its instant victory games. This cutting-edge feature enables participants to digitally scan their physical scratch-off tickets using the Illinois Lottery mobile application and observe the game animate on their devices, exposing all the rewards.

Although numerous US lotteries provide comparable instant win games, Camelot Illinois asserts that Illinois is the pioneering state to augment these games with a “digital reveal” component, rendering them more captivating for both digital and physical retailers.

Tina Wolf, Camelot Illinois’ Vice President of Products and Partnerships, conveyed her enthusiasm for the new function, stating that it converts conventional scratch-off tickets into an interactive digital encounter. She posits that the ease and thrill of the “Scan-n-Play” feature will entice new participants and foster responsible expansion for the Illinois Lottery.

Initially, the Illinois Lottery introduced instant win games in September 2020, but these were originally confined to brick-and-mortar locations. Over a year elapsed before these games became accessible online through the Illinois Lottery website and app. Presently, there are 10 instant win games available for acquisition both at retail establishments and digitally.

Wolf underscored that the development of the instant win game collection was motivated by the straightforward concept of invigorating existing players and attracting new ones.

Half a year following the Illinois Lottery’s introduction of “Fast Play” games to the internet, there’s been a massive influx of fresh participants – a remarkable 40% jump! Furthermore, these players are truly engaged, investing five times the amount per week compared to previously. It seems “Fast Play” is certainly living up to its moniker!
