Playtech has designated Dr. Armin Sageder as the head of its recently unified sports branch, Playtech BGT Sports. This formidable entity merges Playtech’s purchases of BGT, Geneity, Mobenga, and Unilogic, alongside Playtech’s internal trading group. Employing over 600 individuals across various locales, including Nicosia, Malmö, Vienna, London, Bremen, and Sofia, Playtech BGT Sports is a significant player in the industry.
Sageder, reporting directly to Playtech CEO Mor Weizer, possesses extensive industry experience. He established the online payment platform paysafecard and, importantly, founded BGT in 2005. Earlier this year, Sageder and his associates divested a controlling interest in BGT to Playtech, a transaction that paved the way for this new endeavor. It’s noteworthy that Sageder maintains a 10% share in Playtech BGT Sports, demonstrating his ongoing dedication.
Enthusiastic about the prospects, Sageder remarked: “This presents a remarkable chance. Amalgamating the highly skilled team at BGT with Playtech’s extensive knowledge base will enable us to construct a top-tier sports wagering proposition for our licensees and their clientele.” He stressed the commitment to ongoing enhancement: “We will allocate substantial resources to our platform, offerings, and services, concentrating on elevating the wagering encounter for our patrons and optimizing the advantages for our licensees.”
Committed to providing operators with the knowledge and resources necessary to exceed their objectives and differentiate their brands – that’s the distinctive advantage of Playtech and BGT. Armin is the ideal candidate to propel our sports offerings to unprecedented levels, and I’m enthusiastic to witness his achievements alongside our exceptional team. Playtech BGT Sports is dedicated to equipping leading sports wagering operators with the premier platform, products, and exclusive multichannel solutions to transform both digital and physical betting experiences.”
